B.A.C.K.
Another 26 consecutive hours of travel and I'm right back in Japan. And the flight back this time was the best yet. I got to spend the 13-hour trip from Chicago sitting next to a three-(and-a-half)-year-old and she was far more entertaining than any of the airline-provided entertainment. It's been a while since I had prolonged exposure to an english-speaking child, so I forgot that questions like "why are you taking your shoes off?" can be the most difficult to answer. She even drew a portrait of me:

And even though I haven't done anything except unpack, it's good to be back home. The fact that I'm still adjusting to the time difference might even help me get up in the middle of the night to watch the World Cup with its 3:45am game time over here.
